Your Guide to the Tisbury Firefighters Car Show

Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles, custom vehicles and even a funny car will be on display at the 2013 car show this Sunday, Sept. 1 starting at 1 p.m. on Main Street in Vineyard Haven. Scroll down for details.

The Tisbury Firefighters Association Car Show returns this Sunday afternoon, when gleaming motor vehicles will line two streets in Vineyard Haven beginning at 1 p.m.

"Beautiful classic cars, interesting cars & motorcycles will be lining up on Main Street From Bunch of Grapes to Church Street and down Union Street," according to an announcement on Facebook.

The event listing posted on Patch reads:

"A fun day for all ages! Classic Cars, Food, Music, Prizes! You will be the judge for voting for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place best in show, and best motorcycle. Registration for participants is $10 per car or motorcycle. The first 50 entrants will receive a beautiful dash plaque for display. A special surprise is in store also. Come join the fun and stroll in the local shops along Main Street. Rain date Sept. 2nd."

According to the event's Facebook page, registration for participating vehicles is immediately before the show:

"Registration for cars will be by the Capawock Theatre, come early. You will be given a number and your registration paper to fill out. Main Street from there on will be closed for the show by noon and also Union Street will be closed. Trophies will be awarded around 4 p.m."
