CapeFLYER Adds Trains July 3, 4

"Overwhelming success" has led the Boston-Hyannis rail service to add trains Wednesday night, July 3 and Thursday, July 4, according to a CapeFlyer announcement. Woods Hole-bound passengers can connect with a bus shuttle from Buzzards Bay.

The return of weekend rail service linking Boston with Hyannis has been met with such demand from travelers that the CapeFlyer has added weekday trips for the Independence Day holiday.

The line will be operating on a Friday-night schedule July 3 and a Saturday schedule July 4, "due to the overwhelming success the CapeFlyer has experienced in its first 5 weeks," according to an announcement at capeflyer.com.

CapeFlyer trains leave South Station Fridays at 5:12 p.m., stopping at Braintree, Middleborough and Buzzards Bay with Friday's train making additional local stops before arriving in Hyannis at 7:50 p.m.
