Vineyard Haven Closes Streets for Trick or Treaters

Wee witches, wizards and other costumed kids will own the road in some Vineyard Haven neighborhoods Halloween night, reports the Martha's Vineyard Times.

Thursday night from 6 to 9 p.m., several Vineyard Haven streets will be blocked off to non-residential motor vehicle traffic so that trick-or-treaters may safely go from house to house, the Martha's Vineyard Times reports.

People who live on the closed streets will be allowed motor vehicle access, according to the Times, which reports that Tisbury selectmen approved the closures at the request of Police Chief Dan Hanavan.

Will your kids be trick-or-treating Thursday? What are their costumes? Tell us in the comments.
