Dozens Of Dogs Parade In Vineyard Haven

Dogs large and small took a stroll en masse when the Black Dog Tavern in Vineyard Haven hosted a "Doggie Paw-rade" Saturday.

An estimated 40 to 50 dogs took part in Saturday's "Doggie Paw-rade" at the Black Dog Tavern in Vineyard Haven, strolling with their owners down the Black Dog campus paths, along the beach and onto the iconic wharf made famous by this summer's TV series "The Vineyard."

The event was one of a series sponsored at various locations where the Black Dog has stores, and in which a $5 entry fee per pet benefits local animal charities.

Saturday's parade was in support of the group Angels Helping Animals, according to the Vineyard Gazette. (See "Black Dog Pawrade Aids Angels Helping Animals.")
