Jerry Murphy, Neighbor

Jerry joined the <strong>Carminucci Sports <br>Group</strong> in November 2010 as the first ever <strong>General <br>Manager</strong> <strong>&amp; CFO </strong>of the <strong>Martha’s Vineyard <br>Sharks</strong>, playing their inaugural season in the <strong>Futures <br>Collegiate Baseball League</strong>. Jerry’s background is in <br>business.

He was a senior vice president and division <br>head responsible for operations, financial control, the bank’s Internet-based cash management system, operations, information technology and risk management <br>for a European bank operating a $25 billion branch in New York City for 22 years.  During his banking days he had been the controller responsible for financial control, taxation and human resources, head of risk management, head of the information technology and head of operations before being collectively responsible for all aforementioned areas. After leaving banking at the end of 2002 Jerry became a founder and the CEO for a software company from 2003 through 2008. He then participated as a founder and CFO for a renewable energy project in New Hampshire from 2008 through the summer of 2010.

Jerry and his family have been coming to the Vineyard since the early 1990s before buying a summer home in 1999. Jerry and his wife moved from NY to the Vineyard in June of 2007. Jerry’s passion is baseball and still enjoys playing 3B playing softball and pitching hardball for <br>a 35 years and older team on the Vineyard from March through October.
