Tuna Fish Recall Expanded
Bumble Bee has increased its voluntary recall to include more tuna fish cans. Check our list against your pantry to see if you have any of the cans being recalled.
A day after voluntarily recalling cans of tuna fish, Bumble Bee Foods expanded the recall to include more cans, according to the FDA. The reason for the recall is loose seals or seams that could result in product contamination “by spoilage organisms or pathogens and lead to illness if consumed.” The problem was linked to a manufacturing line issue, which has been corrected, said the FDA. The recalled tuna fish was distributed for retail sale between Jan. 17 and March 6, 2013.
