An expected one to three inches of snow proved to be several times that much when we woke up Friday morning to a winter wonderland on the second full day of spring. Did you take advantage of the snowfall to snap photos? Share them with us here.
What vernal equinox? Thursday afternoon's snow showers thickened overnight to dump several inches of snow on Martha's Vineyard by Friday morning. In Edgartown, one Patch reader measured seven and a half inches outside her back door Friday as the editor grimly shoveled nearby. "We measure four inches by English desk scale outside of MVPBS Studios in Vineyard Haven," Daniel J. Adams of Martha's Vineyard Public Broadcasting posted on Facebook. By 8 a.m., the emerging sun was gilding our snowy scenes as the mercury began its climb toward a predicted 38 degrees for the day. Did you capture any photos of the latest snowfall? The town of Edgartown announces on its website: Every year we spend time looking through various pictures in the process of selecting which ones to include in the Annual Town Report. This year, we would like to invite our website visitors to submit their favorite Edgartown pictures to us at krose@edgartown-ma.us for consideration to be included in this report.
