Rent-A-Palace: Lady Slipper Farm And The Summer People, Chapter Three

In which we meet pop singer Fiona Neal and her tyrannical assistant, Teddy Zizik, who has issues with their $25,000-a-week rental on Moshup Trail.

Aquinnah Police Ask Voters for $35K SUV

An aging fleet of police vehicles in the Island's smallest town has prompted Aquinnah chief Randhi Belain to seek town meeting approval to buy a new all-wheel drive Ford Interceptor. The annual meeting is Tuesday evening.

Aquinnah's police chief used social media this week to get the word out about his department's town meeting request for a new SUV. "The vehicle we would like to purchase is a 2013 (or 2014) Ford Interceptor (All-Wheel Drive) Utility vehicle. If the voters approve of this purchase, this new vehicle will replace our 2007 Dodge Charger (unmarked) sedan," wrote chief Randhi P. Belain on the police department's Facebook page. Belain is requesting town meeting approval of $34,500 to purchase the Interceptor, which is built for police use, he said.  Aquinnah's existing police vehicles are aging, Belain wrote: "Besides our most recently purchased vehicle in 2010, which is a four wheel drive Ford Explorer, our other vehicles are a 2007 Ford Crown …
