PJ Martinez came in first place in the 4th of July Run the Chop Challenge
Mudrick's Fudge sponsored their annual Run the Chop Challenge 5 mile road race yesterday that kicked off at the Tisbury School. About 430 people participated, with PJ Martinez coming first with a time of 28:57. The first woman to cross the finish line was Alex Doll from Bethesda Maryland. Although it was an exciting race with a lot of quick finishes, the purpose of the event was to raise money for Island kids. Volunteer Kathy O'Sullivan explained, "All proceeds from the race goes to kids' charities. So it's really cool. There's no expenses that we take out of the proceeds."
