Chappy Point is located on Chappaquiddick, which is reachable by ferry from Edgartown. The beach is located adjacent toMore the ferry, where Katama Bay and Edgartown Harbor meet. The current is very strong in this area, making the beach unsuitable for swimming. Parking is extremely limited; beachgoers are advised to park in downtown Edgartown and take the ferry to the beach. The beach is free and open to the public.
Edgartown Fire Department

The all-volunteer Edgartown Fire Department is located adjacent to the Edgartown Police Department, near the townMore center. A second, smaller station is located on Chappaquiddick. The force boasts approximately 40 firefighters, five full-time EMS personnel and 18 volunteer EMTs. Peter Shemeth serves as chief. The Edgartown Fire Museum, which houses historical memorabilia and antique trucks, is located behind the firehouse.

Water Street is located inside the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown and offers views of the harbor, the EdgartownMore Lighthouse and Chappaquiddick Island. The atmosphere is elegant and can accommodate large parties. The menu includes local produce, meat and seafood. Guests can bring their drinks to the deck that wraps around the hotel and relax in an Adirondack-style chairs. Beer, wine and cocktails are served. A private dining room also is available with six tables for guests. Breakfast and Sunday brunch are served year-round, while dinner service is from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. Reservations can be made online at the Harbor View website, in-person or over the phone.
