Saturday brings the winter solstice, with the shortest day and longest night of the year.
Sassafras in Aquinnah is marking this seasonal turning point with bonfires, a pot luck dinner, live music and dancing, posts Saskia Vanderhoop on Patch:
A Celebration of Nature, Music and True North to rekindle the fire within:
4:30 p.m. Light Fires and Torch Walk
5 p.m. Pot Luck Dinner
6 p.m. Live Music by youth, teens, adults
7 p.m. Dance to Latin, R&B, World tunes
Sassafras is located at 5 Church St., Aquinnah and admission is free.
