Town Meetings, Free Talks, Handmade for Hospice

Five things to do and know on Martha's Vineyard as the week begins.

1. Monday: Chilmark holds a special town meeting in the Community Center at 7:30 p.m. to decide 15 articles, most involving spending. See the full warrant here.

2. Tuesday: Tisbury's special town meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Tisbury School gymnasium. The12-article warrant leads with the controversial connector road that would, if built, allow drivers to bypass the congested Edgartown Road-State Road intersection if they're not headed for Main Street.

3. Wednesday: Join Josh Levy of Vineyard Nutrition as he discusses how to beat the winter blues. The 5:30 p.m. talk is a free community event at the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard, 111R Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, Oak Bluffs.
