MV Chowder Company thanks Bob "Hawkeye" Jacobs with a free dinner for his heroics
The folks at showed their appreciation for Bob “Hawkeye” Jacobs this week with a complimentary meal.
Last week, Jacobs pulled Ashley Peters of Edgartown from the water after she drove her car off the bridge at State Beach. He then summoned help by flagging down off-duty deputy Eric Bettencourt who was driving home. Peters was taken to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and was released into police custody. She now faces legal charges for operating under the influence of alcohol.
