Martha's Vineyard Patch is in for a treat!

A welcome post for a new Editor.

Soon, a person will be returning to their roots on Martha's Vineyard. They have many roots in many places, but often speak fondly of your Island.

Louisa Hufstader is on her way across country in a car heading east, accompanied by a dear friend and felines. She has left Napa and her post as editor of Napa Valley Patch to return to Martha's Vineyard. She will be your new Editor.

You will love this woman and her ecclectic style, as we have loved her on the West Coast. She will be fair and unbiased, willing to review opinions other than her own and accepting new perspectives as long as they demonstrate some validity. If you are willing to post under your real name and not hide behind a nom de plume Louisa will grant you her utmost respect, even if she doesn't agree with you. She and I agree that there is no better way to enjoy our right to free speech than to publicly put our name on our opinions and beliefs.

Napa Valley Patch has a new Editor, and it always takes time to become accustomed to new people and things. I have faith that Keri Brenner will do her best job for us in Napa, but our Patch (and our town, as well) has lost a bit of sparkle as we send one of our gems to you.

From sunsets over the Pacific to sunrises over the Atlantic, I wish Louisa Hufstader the best of luck and prosperity in her new home.
