A Puppet Show Fundraiser at Tisbury Waterworks this weekend raised money for children in Zambia

On Saturday at the Tisbury Waterworks, Marsha Winsryg organized a "Peace, Love and Puppets" event to raise money for children in Zambia. Winsryg is an Island artist on Martha's Vineyard and has a puppet troupe and a bell choir that she showcased during the event. Winsryg explained that she decided to "Put them all together and try a puppet event."

The puppet show brought a large crowd of children and their families. Kids were given puppets to hold and play with during the show. Some of them took part in the performance.

The open space by the water allowed the puppets to interact with the audience. There was no definite stage and crowd members were able to get up close to watch and take pictures.

After the puppet show was over, there was a mini parade around the driveway.
