Obama Family Expected on Martha's Vineyard During Agricultural Fair in August

"They love the fair," one Dukes County official said Friday. President Barack Obama and his family skipped Martha's Vineyard in 2012, but it looks as if they will be back this August.

Nobody's speaking on the record yet, but it seems a foregone conclusion that we can expect to see the First Family on Martha's Vineyard during this year' Agricultural Society Livestock Show and Fair, scheduled for August 15 – 18 in West Tisbury.

The Obamas "love the fair," one Dukes County official said Friday afternoon.

It's still unknown where President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their daughters Sasha and Malia will be staying on their first summer vacation on the Island since 2011.

Where should the Obamas stay here? Tell us in the comments. You may also be interested in:

Maybe we could do a house swap?
Dan Waters March 22, 2013 at 11:15 AM
Great idea, Mike! Then we could have a wild house party, like that time you rented Monticello...
Michael West March 22, 2013 at 05:45 PM
The reason the White House cancelled tours is the Secret Service can no longer staff them due to the intransigence of the GOP on sequester. Everybody had to take cuts, even the Secret Service.

well: trash the house, don't pay rent, but at least you know they WILL leave-
Jeff Wooden March 24, 2013 at 02:52 PM
Looks like a good reason to rent our house, leave the island and go back to Mexico. We heard little about Senor Obama for 3 months while in Mexico!!!

Yes Bill Kristol, that paragon of unbiased journalism. You might as well give us links from WorldNutDaily. Go hang out at the Rod and Gun Club with your other conservatives. You can all proclaim how much you hate your president there. But you only look foolish here.
Aron Levy March 24, 2013 at 03:11 PM
And John, in case your ears have been as closed as your eyes, Michael's comments about 'everybody' was referring to the across-the-board cuts required by the sequester, you silly child.

Another tax payer funded vacation

Another Malden sock puppet. Get a job, loser.

Read it and weep. George W. Bush spent 908 days on vacation during his terms as President. Or a smaller figure, if you can't count that high, 2.5 years!

Look who's talking. Playing video games, overeating and being mean to people is no way to go through life son.

Will Michelle be arriving on a different plane again this year, costing tax payers 25 million dollars because she couldn't wait 2 hours?
Briny O'Boy May 16, 2013 at 08:57 PM
Also for those who don't want to know. To fill up Air Force 1, or 2,with fuel, it costs $318,535.00 every time one goes up. 20 Marines. 50 Secret service agents. 12 vehicles, armored,. Hundreds of Police details. Total. Believe it or not. Around $5,000,000.00 ( 5 Million)a trip. So it would be nice if they went together and save a few dollars. I voted for him because I wanted (A change) Not pocket change to survive on.
