Boys Basketball Fights To Extend Winning Streak

The Vineyarders will face off against Norwell tonight in the first round of the MIAA tournament.

All eyes will be on the boys basketball team this evening when they face off against Norwell in the first round of state playoffs. The game, part of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament, will begin at 5:15 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

The second-seed Vineyarders are on a hot streak right now and favored to perform well in their division. In February, they were crowned Eastern Athletic Conference champs. Last week, they ended their season with a 17-3 record. The team hasn’t lost a home game this year.

Victory is of course elusive, but the talented squad displayed their resilience last week in the face of tough competition.
