Snow Delay Announced for Martha's Vineyard Schools

School will start two hours later than usual this morning due to the snow.

Due to the snow, schools will open two hours later than usual Wednesday, said Martha's Vineyard's superintendent of schools Jim Weiss in a phone call just before 5 a.m.

The National Weather Service has updated its winter weather advisory, in effect until 1 p.m. Wednesday. An estimated two to four inches of snow is expected to fall on the Vineyard, forecasters said.
