School Garden Grows Year-Round in Edgartown
While students are enjoying their summer break, volunteers with the Island Grown Schools program help keep the Edgartown School garden beds weeded and cultivated.
School is out until September 9, but there's no vacation for the vegetable gardens at the Edgartown School.
While students are enjoying their summer break, volunteers with the Island Grown Schools program help keep the garden beds weeded and cultivated.
You can find out more about Island Grown Schools at islandgrown.org. The farm-to-school project is part of the Island Grown Initiative for local foods and sustainability, which also runs a gleaning program to harvest surplus food from Island growers.
