Vineyard wins the Island Cup 27-26 in last seconds of a tight game

In the last 20 seconds of Saturday's Island Cup game between the Nantucket Whalers and Martha's Vineyard, the Vineyarders pulled out a win in what was a mostly Whaler dominated game.

The game went into the fourth quarter with Nantucket leading 26-14. Then, with four minutes to go in the game, quarterback Alec Tattersall threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Watkins and the Vineyarders trailed 26-21.

The final touchdown was scored by Joe Turney with 20 seconds left on the clock, bringing the final score to 27-26. Martha's Vineyard has won the Island Cup every year since 2002.
