Sold! Patrick Ahearn and his wife Marsha are the new owners of two adjoining lots with homes in Aquinnah.
Architect Patrick Ahearn has designed many a high-end home for property owners on Martha's Vineyard, working out of his offices in downtown Edgartown.
Could Ahearn and his wife Marsha now be getting ready to build a place of their own at the other end of the Island?
According to Dukes County land records, on Nov. 7 the Ahearns purchased two adjoining waterfront lots on Vineyard Sound in Aquinnah, each with an older home in place. The two properties add up to more than two acres.
7 Oxcart Rd. is described by Zillow as having two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms in 857 square feet of living space on a 1.3 acre lot.
9 Oxcart Rd. has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 1,500 square feet of living space on a .8-acre lot.
The Ahearns paid $1,700,000 for the two parcels and an additional $34,000 to the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank.
