Real Estate

Sold in Oak Bluffs: Waterfront, $1.2 Million

A Branford, CT man is the new owner of this Barnes Road waterfront property with a main house, guest house and unobstructed views.

217 Barnes Rd., Oak Bluffs changed hands May 24 to the tune of $1,200,000, according to Dukes County recorded land data.

The property had been offered at $1,250,000, according to a Sandpiper Realty listing that reads in part:

  • "The views are just phenomenal - unobstructed and nearly 180 degrees, out the lagoon to Vineyard Haven Harbor and the Sound"
  • "The main house and guest house sit at the edge of the embankment and are as close to the water as one can truly get; siting such as this would never be attainable today."

Online listings for the property indicate that it has two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and 1,817 square feet of living space on a 1.8-acre lot and was built in 1959.
