Worried About Marijuana Zoning, Oak Bluffs Mom Urges Turnout at Hearing

"Please help find the right district in Oak Bluffs, not so close to many of the places our children spend their time," posts Guinevere Cramer on Martha's Vineyard Patch. The Nov. 7 hearing starts at 7 p.m. downstairs at Town Hall.

An Oak Bluffs woman with young children is asking the community to turn out for Thursday night's planning board hearing on marijuana dispensary zoning.

"Please help keep Oak Bluffs Family Friendly!" posted Guinevere Cramer on Patch and other social media sites popular with Island residents.

"Oak Bluffs Medical Marijuana District is planned near our school, Viera Park and Harbor on Dukes County Avenue. We feel that this is not the right location," Cramer posted, continuing,

"Please help find the right district in Oak Bluffs, not so close to many of the places our children spend their time.

This matters a lot to us and to Oak Bluffs families,  and we think you should know about it. PLEASE TURN OUT FOR THE MEETING ON THURSDAY NIGHT AT 7PM in the lower level of Town Hall in Oak Bluffs."

Cramer's post concludes,

"We can change this by GOING TO THE MEETING this THURSDAY!  We can make a difference! Thank you!"

Where in Oak Bluffs do you think a medical marijuana dispensary should be located? Tell us in the comments.
