Who's Hiring on Martha's Vineyard? Oak Bluffs Seeks Children's Librarian

The Oak Bluffs library recently posted on its Facebook page: "Are you awesome & do you love working with children and teens? We're hiring a Children's Librarian!" 

Here are the details from the job posting on the state Board of Library Commissioners website:   

Description: The Town of Oak Bluffs is accepting applications from qualified individuals to fill the position of Children’s Librarian. The position performs professional and supervisory work in planning, implementing and managing a comprehensive program of service to young library patrons. Knowledge of computers and library systems is required, as well as exceptional customer service skills. We are looking for someone with an energetic and positive personality that enjoys working with all age groups. Previous library experience especially with children is preferred. This is a full-time position with hourly range of $19.72 - $24.25 and a comprehensive benefits package. Work hours may include Saturdays and evenings.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, with coursework in education or child development; preference will be given to candidates with a Masters in Library Science.
