What's Open, Closed Today on Martha's Vineyard?

Presidents' Day is here again: Libraries and municipal offices are closed, but the buses are rolling and many Island businesses will be open for the holiday. Call before you go: Find local numbers in our Directory.

Happy Presidents Day! This holiday is short on obligations — no special meals, gifts or observations required — and long on shopping: Here are some sales at Island stores.

Vineyard Transit Authority is running its regular schedule of buses.

Libraries and municipal offices are closed, including the post office. The regular Monday meeting of the Edgartown selectmen is Tuesday this week.

Island schools have a holiday. 

The YMCA is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Shops, restaurants and other businesses are open at the management's discretion: Call before you go.
