Do You Think The System is Rigged Against the Middle Class?

Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. What did you think of her speech?

The system is rigged against middle class families, and unchecked corporate greed will take us all down, according to Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren who spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. Barnstable

"Each generation built something solid so that the next generation could build something better," she said. "But not for many years. Talk to the construction worker from Malden who went nine months without a job... Talk to the student in Worcester who worked hard to finish his degree and now he's drowning in debt...The system is rigged against them."

Warren, who took the stage just prior to former President Bill Clinton, said Romney's plan to lower the richest American's taxes would send the economy spiraling backwards. She called several times for Americans to band together to work for the next generation's benefit.

Did you watch Warren's speech?

Do you think she did enough to address the concerns Americans have about jobs and the economy today?

Do you believe the playing field in America is rigged?

You also have to fire off 5 rounds (I think it's 5 rounds) with a qualified firearm instructor and have that signature on the application and also when it's renewed. AFAIK, most instructors charge for that. J, any chance you could give us a link to the source of her being Pro-self-defense?

RE: OllieD.."a aquaw?" "Believe with the use of that one word you have shown what sort of hate monger you are". There is nothing hateful in the use of the word Squaw, the definition is 1: A native American woman, especially a wife. 2: A woman or a wife.

Joe Biden stated the other night that it was "Never a good idea to bet against America", The reason we are not seeing an economic recovery is because firms like our own State Street Corporation have already and are in the process of off-shoring thousands of middle class jobs to quickly enrich the lives of people like State Street\'s current CEO Jay Hooley and his, for lack of a better term "henchman" Allen Greene. By my count (I worked there for 14 years) State Street for instance, has sent somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,200 good paying, fund accounting, custody, Compliance, and financial reporting jobs to INDIA in a joint venture with SYNTEL (SYNT) Corp of TROY, MI. This is a National disgrace, because my former employer received a $2 Billion TARP bailout from the very Americans they are now hurting the most. My former employer is currently in the act of shipping off 750 Fund Administration jobs from above the Copley mall, and the John HancockTower off to INDIA. This is exactly why we will reamain with 8% plus unemployment indefinitely until we put an end to this "BETTING AGAINST AMERICA". We must divest in firms that harm the future of our children and insist that STEPHEN LYNCH, JOHN KERRY, and even HARRY REID wake up, and start defending our country, our state, and the future of all of our children from this greed, and stupidity. http://www.wgbh.org/programs/Greater-Boston-11/episodes/July-19-2012State-Street-outsourcing-40276

Bert - Generally I would agree with you, and was not for the State of Maine to consider removing it from proper names of physical places, however in this case the use of the word within the sentence without a question had a negative definition.
