Police Host Selectmen in Edgartown

Five things to know if you're on Martha's Vineyard March 18, 2013.

  1. There's another storm coming our way, so Patch asked WCVB meteorologist Harvey Leonard on Twitter what we could expect on MV. He tweeted in response, "you should start as wet snow Mon. Nt. maybe a slushy 1-3", then washed away by rain."
  2. Are you an Islander in need of food and/or clothing? Clothes to Go offers free gently worn clothing, Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church; the Island Food Pantry is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. at the same location.
  3. Are you in a position to help your less-fortunate neighbors eat? Monetary donations are welcome: Island Food Pantry, PO Box 1874, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.
  4. Today's meeting of the Edgartown Board of Selectmen takes place at 4 p.m. on the third floor of the police department at 72 Peases's Point Way. The agenda is attached to this article as a .pdf.
  5. Alex's sYsters is a new project for young women ages 13 - 18. Find support, learn new skills from professional women from our community. 5 p.m., YMCA, 111R Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Rd, free to locals and visiting teens alike.
