Last Chance: Discuss Citizens United with Sen. Dan Wolf and Rep. Tim Madden

On Saturday, May 12 at 10:45 am, there will be a brief gathering at the to discuss the Citizens United ruling with Sen. Dan Wolf and Rep. Tim Madden. Both have shown their commitment to passing the a bill at the state level aimed at halting the unlimited spending of corporations and lobbying groups in political campaigns.

Since five of the Island’s six towns have already voted to pass resolutions in support of this bill with Aquinnah set to vote on May 8th at their town meeting, and since it is highly likely that Aquinnah will also vote to pass the resolution, this would mean that all six Vineyard towns have agreed to support the overturn of the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United ruling. Wolf and Madden are looking forward to discussing and celebrating that with Islanders. All are invited to attend.
