Interim Oak Bluffs Town Administrator Becomes Permanent

Selectmen appoint Robert Whritenour to position of Town Administrator

Robert Whritenour has served as interim town administrator in Oak Bluffs since September. Yesterday, town selectmen appointed him permanently to the position, according to an article in the Vineyard Gazette.

“Mr. Whritenour earned glowing praise from the selectmen, who voted unanimously to appoint him. After the vote, the selectmen and an audience of about 10 people applauded,” said the Gazette.

Whritenour was chosen from a pool of 31 applicants largely due to his financial experience.
