Woods Hole Road to be Closed for Falmouth Road Race

If you're traveling through Woods Hole Sunday on your way to or from Martha's Vineyard, expect delays, warns the Steamship Authority.

Are you taking the ferry to or from Woods Hole Sunday? Be prepared for delays on the Woods Hole side, says the Steamship Authority in a passenger advisory issued this week:

Woods Hole Road will be closed to all traffic for the Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 11, 2013 between 9:30am to 11:00am (est). Expect traffic delays on Woods Hole Road and Palmer Avenue throughout the day. Please plan your travel accordingly.

According to Falmouth police, Woods Hole and roads along the race route will be opened after the last runner has passed.
