Woman, 21, Cited After Rollover Crash in Vineyard Haven

The Martha's Vineyard Times reports that Kristen Canniff of Milton allegedly became distracted and drove off State Road in Vineyard Haven Sunday afternoon, striking two trees and twice rolling her Chevy Cobalt.

A 21-year-old woman escaped serious injury Sunday, but was cited by police for a marked lanes violation after losing control of the Chevy Cobalt she was driving, swerving up an embankment, striking two trees and rolling the car over twice, according to a report on the Martha's Vineyard Times website.

Police said Kristen Canniff was wearing her seat belt and suffered only minor injuries in the single-car crash that took place after she became distracted while driving on State Road in Vineyard Haven at about 3:30 p.m., the Times reports.
