Menemsha Coast Guard Station Wins Readiness Award

The Vineyard's Coast Guard station has once again won one of the service's highest awards, the Vineyard Gazette reports.

For the third time in less than 10 years, Menemsha's Coast Guard station has been presented with the Sumner I. Kimball Readiness Award, the Vineyard Gazette reports in "Station Menemsha Receives Prestigious Coast Guard Award."

The award, previously earned by Station Menemsha in 2004 and 2008, is one of the highest in the Coast Guard, according to the Gazette report.
