Man Found Dead on Beach Had Honeymooned on Vineyard 46 Years Ago

State police are investigating how the 74-year-old Framingham man's body came to be on the beach at the Lake Tashmoo opening, Martha's Vineyard newspapers report.

Massachusetts State Police have not yet released the name of the 74-year-old Framingham man whose fully-clad body was found Wednesday at the opening to Lake Tashmoo, Island newspapers report.

But a state police sergeant told the Martha's Vineyard Times that the man had honeymooned on the Island in 1967.

The man, who arrived on the Vineyard on the noon boat Tuesday, was suffering from health problems, the Times reports.

An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of his death, reports the Vineyard Gazette.
