Island School Bus Driver Allegedly Molested 9-Year-Old Girl, Report Says

A West Tisbury school bus driver has been charged with assault, indecent assault and enticement after a young girl said he sexually molested her over a year and a half while he was involved with her mother, the Martha's Vineyard Times reports.

A 47-year-old Edgartown man who worked as a West Tisbury school bus driver was arraigned last week on charges of assault, indecent assault and enticement after a young girl said he sexually molested her, the Martha's Vineyard Times reports in "West Tisbury school bus driver charged with indecent assault."

Mark A. Bergeron's alleged crimes against the girl began when she was 9 years old and continued over a year and a half while he was involved with the child's mother, according to the Times, which reports that Bergeron was freed on $1,000 bail and ordered not to return to his job as a school bus driver or to contact the alleged victim.
