Customers whose accounts lost money were immediately reimbursed by the bank, which is investigating the thefts, Falvey told the Vineyard Gazette.
Edgartown police are investigating at four cases of debit-card fraud, according to the Times.
A notice on the bank's website reads:
"ATM and Debit card holders. If you experience or suspect fraudulent activity on your card, please call 1-800-554-8969 to suspend service."
