It is an island tradition, especially in February to gather together and enjoy the company of our community. For decades Open Mics and Open Stages have been the go-to winter weekend activity, bringing even the most shy performers to the stage.
Alex's Place at the YMCA of MV is proud to continue the tradition of community open stage opportunities when is hosts another in a series of "First Friday Community Open Stage Nights" this Friday, February 7th at 8 pm.
All performers *adults too* are welcomed to join in the fun. Perform poetry, music, spoken word, comedy on the Alex's Place stage. It is always a fun and surprising evening, one that is truly a Vineyard event.
Doors open at 7 pm, admission is $5. You can claim a spot either by calling 508 - 696 - 7171 ext 128 (please leave your phone number too) or by signing up at 7 pm on the day of the show.
Freshly prepared snacks and treats created by chef Chanda Decker will also be provided.
