When Does School Close for Thanksgiving on Martha's Vineyard?
Vacation dates for Island public schools in November and December.
Martha's Vineyard public schools are closed for Thanksgiving Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Dec. 1.
Saturday, the Vineyarders football team and its fans will take a special direct ferry ride to Nantucket, where we hope they'll capture the Island Cup again to crown the postseason.
Dec. 2, Island students return to class for just three weeks before December recess begins at the end of the Dec. 20 school day.
Classes resume Jan. 2.
