T-Shirt Sales Aid Gay Head Lighthouse Rescue

Historic and beloved Gay Head Lighthouse is in urgent need of relocation before it topples off its eroding cliffside perch. As part of the fund-raising effort, T-shirts are being sold and a 10K race is coming up this weekend.

Have you seen the Gay Head Lighthouse T-shirts? They're being sold at Island shops to benefit the urgent campaign to move the historic and beloved lighthouse from its precarious perch at the edge of a rapidly crumbling cliff.

The shirts cost $20 with short sleeves and $25 with long sleeves and can be found at shops on Aquinnah Cliffs, at Pandora’s Box in Menemsha, at Suka in Edgartown and at Midnight Farm in Vineyard Haven, according to the Keep On Shining campaign.

A store employee at Midnight Farm said the shirts are available for cash or check sales only.

Buttons and bumper stickers are also available and a 10-kilometer fundraising run is scheduled for this weekend.
