Pathways 2014 Season Finale and Honoraria Awards to Island Artists for Innovation in the Arts on Martha’s Vineyard.

Pathways Projects Institutes celebrates artists, writers, musicians, performers and sister arts organizations for innovative projects across island.
Pathways Honoraria Awards support individual artists and writers with time to build new work, thereby catalyzing a leap to a new realm of imagination.  Awards to sister organizations honor sustained innovation in the arts, or a launch of new arts projects.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27th, 2014 ... from 6:30 to 9:30pm
Event Starts 7pm
FREE ADMISSION / Light Refreshments

With David Stanwood, Rick Bausman,  and others

Recipients works are highlighted in live presentation throughout this special evening, along with updates  and excerpts from past Honoraria projects. Over two dozen Honoraria to individuals and organizations are announced at the awards, with celebratory community support.

Organizations awarded 2014 Pathways Honoraria include: Featherstone Center for the Arts - for Pathways/Featherstone Summer Festival of Poetry, and The Yard - for choreography residencies, and many others.

Full works created with Pathways Honoraria are shared with the community at Pathways Gathering Space next season and across island year round.  Arts programs supported at sister organizations are presented through their home venues.

Pathways Living Room Studios, at The Chilmark Tavern, is open seasonally from November through April, as a dedicated place for artists and writers to generate new work.  Each season begins late fall, with seed projects that build through winter to in depth individual and collaborative showings.  The April perennial Spring IMAGINE ARTS festival and Pathways Honoraria Awards celebrate works as they emerge at thrilling moments of fruition.
