Musical Tale Talls in Tisbury

On Friday the Tisbury fourth graders will share their creativity with the public in the performance of two musical fairy tales - Big Trouble: the Paul Bunyon Story and Big Mose: New York's Biggest and Bravest Firefighter. Over the last six weeks, the fourth graders learned the importance of collaboration by working with each other and their classroom, art, and music teachers to create everything for a full production - scenery, props, musical numbers, set changes, costumes, sound equipment and acting.  Every child has had a turn to try all the roles needed to create successful theater.  The project was led by IMP's Donna Swift who choose to use the family friendly musical scripts she co-authored with Ross Mihalko and Oak Bluff's music teacher Brian Weiland.  For ten years, this writing team has created original musicals that let young performers shine AND entertain audiences of all ages. The fun starts at 6:00 pm on the Tisbury School stage and admission is free.
