In the past few months, Dana Edelman and his 11-year-old son Jaiden have received more than 46,000 YouTube views and 100 comments on their playful duet, which name-checks dozens of Bay Area places with a chorus made for singing along:

"You're a Taunton Falmouth Buzzard, Ware'd the Ham go from my Sandwich? You've got Marbles in your Head, You Athol.”

The Vineyard audience can count on hearing Jaiden and his guitar-playing dad reprise their hit — which also includes lines like “You were Bourne with Mashpees for a Braintree” — along with a few other songs featuring the youngster’s pure singing voice.

Edelman’s Slammin’ Band brings three of his favorite fellow musicians to the Katharine Cornell: Bassist and fellow Islander Eric Johnson, guitarist Chris Foley and legendary drummer Victor Jones. Johnson, a former Berklee College of Music instructor who now owns Tisberry, is a well-regarded local performer who plays regularly at the Offshore Ale Company in Oak Bluffs and other Island venues. Jones is an acclaimed percussionist who began his career playing with Lou Donaldson and Stan Getz. Foley is an in-demand guitarist who also plays with Arlen Roth and the Cordobas.

Edelman himself is a recording artist and performer who made his first CD, “Bedouin Man,” on the Vineyard in 1997 and often appeared at the Wintertide coffee house. He also scores for films and television and is music director for the Martha’s  Vineyard Film Festival and the Living Local Festival.
