Author Talk: Barbara Israel presents “A Guide to Buying Antique Garden Ornament: A Conversation on Connoisseurship"”

Vineyard summer resident Barbara Israel presents her how-to-book for enthusiasts and buyers of antique garden ornament. "A Guide to Buying Antique Garden Ornament" contains detailed information and illustrations from Israel's more than 25 years of experience as an antiques dealer. Topics include cast stone vs. carved stone, judging real vs. fake, identifying cast iron ornaments, tips on repairs, and a bevy of specifics on sundials, statues, furniture and more. Israel will talk about the book and take questions from the audience about their own garden ornaments.
