Where on MV Were We?

It's time to prove how well you know the Island!

The object of the game is simple: Prove how well you really know Martha's Vineyard.

Each Sunday we'll post a photo from somewhere we visited in the past week. If no one answers correctly after one day, we'll post an additional snapshot to help you out.

Answers must be added to the comments section below. Ready, set ... go!

Bloodyrue Andrue, I think you're close - although I don't know it as the tadpole pond. Do you have any more information on the name or the name of the woods surrounding it?

My wife takes kids there to tadpole. I was just asking her the other day what the slooshway was for. She made a still shot video of the last trip there

When Mr. Wallace asked Tom Counter an I to turn the abandoned "borrow pit" into a wetland pond people didn't think it was possible. Well it wasn't a pond to start with. The pump is for filling the pond if needed or recirculating the water to keep oxygen levels correct. The sluice is cypress and the house is cedar with cedar shakes-built to last. I loved your video. We always had the neighborhood kids of the future in mind when we were building it. It warms my heart to see them to see them creating natural, slimy, living childhood memories. The video is FANTASTIC!

Dear Mr Milner, thank you for The background on this pond. There are several of us that love taking our young friends to explore the pond and it's denizens. We have made all sorts of wonderful discoveries over the last few years!
