Kids & Family

There is a today at the to benefit the Charter School’s 5th & 6th grades’ upcoming sailing trip on the Black Dog schooner Alabama. Car wash will range from $10 for exterior wash to $25 for exterior wash with vacuum & windows. Trucks, vans and SUVs will be $15 for exterior or $35 for exterior and interior. The drawing for the group's "S.O.S." ("Support Our Sail") fundraising raffle will also take place on Saturday afternoon as well as a bake sale. 10 am – 2 pm.

The MVE Youth Group invites the community to a at the today. The Oak Bluffs Memorial Day 5K Road Race and One Mile Fun Run is today. Proceeds benefit Hospice of MV. Register at the Wesley Hotel. Fun run starts at 10:30 am and the 5K race starts at 11 am. Memorial Day Events

The annual Memorial Day Parade starts at the parking lot in Vineyard Haven. Richard Christopher is the guest speaker, and Natalie Wood will sing the national anthem. 9:30 am.

The Tisbury Town Picnic takes place near off Spring Street and State Road. There will be games, music, rowboats and ice cream and grills will also be available. Stop by the exhibit of the environmental work of Tisbury Waterways, Inc. inside the renovated pumping station. Noon - 4 pm. For more information, call 508-696-4202.
