Parents’ Night Out

Tonight is Parents’ Night Out at the. Kids enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, and games. Ages three and up. Please remember to pack your child’s bathing suit and towel. Light snacks provided. The Empowerment & Education Working Group of Occupy MV is presenting the first at the . This free community dinner and movie event will introduce The People’s Kitchen who will start serving at 5:30 pm. A highly enlightening documentary film about the Federal Reserve, the IRS, and the alleged income tax law will be shown at 7 pm.  A brief Q&A and a community discussion will follow.

Bee School 102 

with Everett Zurlinden starts today at in West Tisbury. Topics are spring build up, hive splits and swarm control. All are welcome, though the course is geared towards the experienced beekeeper. Leland Beach Clean Up

Film: Chico and Rita

The takes you to lively, sensual Havana, Cuba of the 1950s in a story of love and passion between two musicians in the film Chico and Rita. Presented in the vibrant graphic illustrations of Javier Mariscal and the music of legendary Cuban pianist and five-time Grammy-winning composer Bebo Valdés. 14th Annual Ocean View St. Patrick's Dayish 5K Road Race & Fitness Walk starts this morning at the . There will be a post-race reception and awards, cash bar. Awards for male and female finishers, top three males and females in each age division. Event t-shirt for first 150 5K entries. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Track & Field Teams. 10:30 am.
