Katama - near South Beach - all is just fine with power, telephone, Comcast computer link - Time: Monday, 10/29/12 - 1:40 PM. Full moon today and night - high tide around 8:30 PM should be interesting.

Lambert's Cove / John Hoft Rd: A few flickers and required resets of the coffee maker, but electricity still around. And here's a (rare?) kudo to Comcast: their scheduled technician actually showed up early today (Monday, early even)y to install a phone line, spending most of his time outside in the tumult, nonchalantly tracing and pushing wires. Let's hear it forold-school customer service. BTW, Falmouth has big surf and no electricity.

Lost power for about 1.5 hours - it just returned @ 4:45 PM. Visited South Beach - talked with some other folks from Katama - some have power - some don't. Beach and dunes really getting beat up - several docks in Katama Bay are getting heavily smashed by storm surge and waves.

West Tisbury off Old County Road: power was out for two hours starting around 3:12 PM Monday Oct. 29. The landline phone was also out - and it's Verizon. And yes, I have access to an old style phone that doesn't require AC power. Shouldn't the phone stay on?

I live along Seaview Avenue,o.b.... The power held all day and I left just before dark. The wires used to sizzle ( it was a little noisy to notice, actually) and the transformer would blow up.....WOW NSTAR and thank you for such wonderful improvements,,,! Will return at sunrise....
