Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 8

Today there is an Open Printmaking studio at Featherstone, a Wampanoag Cooking class at the Edgartown School and a Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at the Pit Stop

1. There is an Open Printmaking Studio with Nick Thayer this morning at Featherstone. $10 per hour. 9 am – noon. For more information, call 508-693-1850 or visit featherstoneart.org.

2. Today at the Aquinnah Public Library, there is storytime for kids ages six and under. 3:30 - 4:30 pm. For more information, call 508-645-2314.

3. There is a Puppeteering Classes for Kids at the First Baptist Parish Hall in Vineyard Haven. Suitable for ages six and up. 4 pm - 5 pm. For more information, call 508-696-1933.

4. ACE/MV is holding a Wampanoag Cooking class with Kristina Hook-Leslie tonight at the Edgartown School. 6:30 pm - 8:30 p.m. To preregister, call  774-310-1131 or visit acemv.org.

5. There is a Benefit Concert at the Pit Stop tonight for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Featuring Brad Tucker, Alex Karalekas and Adam Howell & Angel. Suggested donation $5-$10. All ages welcome. 8 pm.
