Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 4

Today there are Sunday Projects at the FARM, Travel Soccer Tryouts at the West Tisbury School and Featherstone's Art of Politics show opens

1. There are Sunday Projects at the FARM Institute this afternoon. Kids age 10-adult can help with farm projects, children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Free. 1 pm. For more information, call 508-627-7007.

2. There will be tryouts for the MV United Travel Soccer today at the West Tisbury School. For students in 4th grade and up. Bring a copy of birth certificate. 2 pm. For more information, visit mvsoccer.org.

3. This afternoon at Featherstone, there is an Opening Reception for The Art of Politics with Guest Curator: Richard Limber. Show will stay up through November 13. 4 pm.

4. There are Beginners Salsa lessons tonight at the Oak Bluffs Senior Center, Oak Bluffs. 6:15 pm: beginners with Tom. 7-7:30 pm: rhumba lesson with Jack & Carol. Couples or singles. $3. 508-696-8428.

5. Tonight at the Hebrew Center in Vineyard Haven, there is an author talk: "Open Heart, Open Mind: Awakening the Power of Essence Love," with Buddhist teacher Tsoknyi Rinpoche. 7:30 pm. Free.
