Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 14

Today you can Talk Turkey at the Edgartown Library, there's storytime at the OB Library and the MV Film Center is screening Paris Texas

1. There is Storytime today at the Oak Bluffs Public Library with Sondra for children ages 1 1/2 to 5. 10:30 am –11 am. For more information, call 508-693-9433.

2. Today you can Talk Turkey with Jon Previant of The FARM Institute at the Edgartown Public Library. Learn about the history of turkey farming and the heritage breed birds that are raised at TFI. Free. 1 pm. For more information, call (508) 627-7007

3. The Island Food Pantry is open today at Christ United Methodist Church in Vineyard Haven. For people coming more than once, please bring a letter of reference, written on letterhead, from clergy, medical staff, health care access or employer stating need from the Pantry and then you can come every two weeks. 2 pm – 4 pm.

4. There is an Open Pottery Studio with Nancy Blank and Carl Mueller today at Featherstone. $5. 2 pm – 5 pm. For more information, call 508-693-1850 or visit featherstoneart.org.

5. The Martha's Vineyard Film Center screens tonight as part of the Classic Film Night Wednesdays series. $10/$7 for MV Film Society members. 7:30 pm.
