Five Things You Need To Know: Jan. 19

A Saturday Art Adventure, A Family Dance-O-Rama and more happenings today on the Vineyard.

 

Today is National Popcorn Day!

1. Featherstone Center for the Arts will host a Saturday Art Adventure for the little ones, this morning from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Lani Carney will guide the kids in exploring creature connections. Designed for ages 3 to 8. Cost is $45 per student. Pre-registration is recommended, call (508)693-1850 or visit featherstoneart.org .

2. Attend a Tennis and Fitness morning session at The WorkOut and Tennis Center in West Tisbury today. Participants will take part in a tennis clinic followed by a group training session. 3. The Vineyard Haven Library will hold its Monthly Mini Book Sale this afternoon from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit children's programs supported by the Friends of the Library. Call (508)696-4211 for more information or visit vhlibarary.org.

4. Bring the whole family to Dreamland in Oak Bluffs for an evening of dancing and fun at the Family Dance-O-Rama tonight from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A popular family event, let the kids dance, run around, and release some energy! All ages are welcome. Free. 

5. The Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center will be showing the film, "Hear Our Voices" this evening at 7:00 pm. The film is produced by Martha's Vineyard High School students. "Hear Our Voices" showcases real life discussions of the issues students face each day. Traditional dances and music to follow. Donations accepted. Call (508)524-8023 for more information.
